Oh where will we go when the rain takes its shape In a parade of a thousand beating blades To take shelter under the warmth of a quilted blanket Until that too is soaked through Imagining in that moment a refuge in the sun Letting the rays soak upon my skin, but this is not the season This is the season for the trees, oh they are so green A season to fill the bowls for the fish, and the cups in which we drink A season for dancing in the rain, discarding all layers, becoming one with earth again And get togethers under shelter, sharing stories of the summer The season of hot pots of steaming soup, the mud brought in from our shoes And it puts you to sleep, the sound of rain beating against the roof Beaming past the moody skies, putting off an incandescent glimmer Past the quaint old town, there's hope beyond And where there's rain there's life How grateful I am to be alive Comment a flower emoji if you read along 🥀
