What do you want to be? How many times have you asked yourself that question? I did all the time. When I was about 4 years old, my answer was: "I'm going to be a princess." Some of my friends answered, "I'm going to be an astronaut," and some said, "I'm going to be a magician." Kids always answer "I'll be," they have no doubts. If I ask the question, "What do you want to be?" you will probably say, "I would like to be..." or most of you will say, "I don't know." So, what does that mean? Maybe that you don't know what you want out of life? Maybe. Or maybe you're not sure what you want, you don't think they're real enough to say "I'm going to be" something or someone. All the time in school I was asked, "Hey, Liz, what do you want to be? What do you want to do?", I couldn't answer these questions, I needed help, but who would help me? Parents? Successful people? Friends? None of them could really help me. Because they didn't know what I really wanted, only I knew. There are 2 characters in our head: 1. "The inner voice," our friend. It's the dude who tells you what you like, what you get high from. It's the part of your mind that tells you that classical music is soothing. That heights are scary and cats are cute. And sometimes, you can't interact with that character because of his "buddy." 2. "Inner doubt" is our enemy. It stupidly blocks all our desires. He makes you stop doing what you like to do. This is the dude who says that classical music is stupid. That heights are dangerous and SEALs are expensive. I've always liked acting. But my inner voice of doubt always told me it was some fairy tale idea and it wouldn't work. But, here I am, having recently stepped on this stage and madly grateful for what I have now! And someday you too will put that awful voice down and focus only on your desires and dreams. "The number one reason why people don't get what they want is because they don't know what they want," agree? The sooner you can interact with your inner voice and ignore your doubts, the sooner you can answer the question, "what do you want to be?" And by doing so, take your dreams and turn them into reality as soon as possible. ❤️️❤️️❤️️
