What inspires respect, and often fear, for the woman is her nature, which is "more natural" than man's, her truly predatory, sly grace, her naivete in selfishness, her uneducable savagery, the unfathomable, immense, elusive in her lusts and virtues. Despite her fear, all this inspires compassion for this dangerous and beautiful cat--"woman"--is that she is more suffering, more easily vulnerable, more in need of love, and more condemned to disappointment than anyone else.
